- Java Applet - All Web 2.0 styles maps have the same issues, the performance of the map significantly degrades the more object that are placed on it and there are no good methods for doing realtime client/service transactions. HTML was not designed as an application language it was design to be a markup language for documents.
- Client/Service Architecture - Allows for realtime collaberation and manipulation of objects.

Demo Applet Available
Notes about demo applet:
- Click on the Viewport Icon to expand menu.
- Zoom into the St. Louis Area to see different types of objects being tracked.
- Only works in IE for the moment.
