| If you have give the code a try, I would love to get your feedback? What worked and what would you like to see improved? Some of the things that I have been thinking about is adding support for compression (prior to encryption) and possibly splitting up large files into smaller ones to get around maximum size limits on S3 (for example). What do you all think? |

Love to see large file splitting. My initial snapshot I'd like backed up is 600GB and it's only going to grow. ![]() Compression sounds useful, but my use case is mostly photos & video, so not as much for me. Great project! |

Don, I will definitely look into how we can efficiently do splitting as I agree the size limits are only going to impact more and more people! Thanks for sharing your feedback! Glenn |

Don, Give the new version a try. It now depends on the Cloud Safety Box project (s3-crypto.ksh), but as a result it now supports compression, encryption as well as file splitting (based upon a configurable limit specified in Kbytes). Let me know what you think! Thanks again for sharing your feedback! Glenn |
