This project has now moved to http://dsc.kenai.com The idea of Project OpenSolaris Dynamic Service Containers ("DSC") is to use standard OpenSolaris / Solaris Sub-Systems / Technologies to implement a light weight dynamic "pull-based" (think cloud oriented) provisioning solution. Zones to encapsulate service instances. SMF to start / stop, and control the provisioning and associated zone payloads. mysql as a registry (state)/ repository to track status, payloads etc.

OSlash is a c++ framework for developing cross-platform applications with high performance requirements. It is an Abstraction Layer for the OS services (filesystem, concurrency, timing, memory management) and also a set of efficient data structures (collections, maps and strings).
