The Dynamic Code Evolution Virtual Machine (DCE VM) is a modification of the Java HotSpot(TM) VM that allows unlimited redefinition of loaded classes at runtime. The current hotswapping mechanism of the HotSpot(TM) VM allows only changing method bodies. Our enhanced VM allows adding and removing fields and methods as well as changes to the super types of a class.

HC is a web micro-framework for creating C language CGI web pages. This tool provides a JSP-like way to embed HTML into C-language files, and automatically convert the HTML to C code which generates the HTML. The HTML can include function calls, so that the HTML content can be dynamic. Please see the README file for details.

This project has now moved to http://dsc.kenai.com The idea of Project OpenSolaris Dynamic Service Containers ("DSC") is to use standard OpenSolaris / Solaris Sub-Systems / Technologies to implement a light weight dynamic "pull-based" (think cloud oriented) provisioning solution. Zones to encapsulate service instances. SMF to start / stop, and control the provisioning and associated zone payloads. mysql as a registry (state)/ repository to track status, payloads etc.
