This library provides a high-level, domain-speciifc, API for accessing Gmail messages over IMAP and SMTP. libgmail uses the JavaMail API in the backend but wraps (rather than extend) the stateful objects to expose only a high-level API. The intent is to hide the mechanics of managing IMAP/SMTP stores and expose a simplified API anyone can use.
